This bass is in excellent condition and has the “deluxe” appointments of crushed pearl inlays, checkered body binding, bound neck and Ric-O-Sound stereo and mono output jacks. This example also has the new style rectangular bridge pickup surround that replaced the “tapered tail” surround on the 4000/1 models in the latter part of 1968. The rectangular treble pickup surround is still the style for the modern Rick basses today. All original with black OHSC.
