Another 12-string with bound body, “F” soundhole and unbound fretboard with dot markers; this guitar was made alongside model 1993 guitars intended for export to the UK but was kept for the US market. Note the early 12-string “short” or "stubby" truss rod cover on this August 1964 model and the trapeze tailpiece, compared to the February 1965 example with a "long" truss rod cover and an "R" tailpiece. I found this guitar with all parts intact but the Fireglo finish had been stripped to natural. I had it professionally refinished in its original Fireglo. This early model has the “Rickenbacker” metal badge on its silver tolex case.
