The C58 series was Rickenbacker's third (and final) attempt to "get it right" with the 325 reissues. The construction of the 325C58 was made of lightweight alder, with scatterwound toaster-top pickups and a Kauffman vibrola, just as was found on John Lennon's 1958 325 when new. The C58 series is considerably lighter than the V59 counterpart. This example is finished in Mapleglo/Natural in recognition of the initial finish color of Lennon's first 325. The guitars of the C58 series are much lighter than those of the V59 series and include other variations more faithful to Lennon's original 325, such as Grover open-back tuners. OHSC
