Rickenbacker Model 325C64

in Jetglo

2009

The third reissue series of Lennon's model 325 also inclued the "C64" model, which was based on John Lennon's 2nd Rickenbacker, made for him by FC Hall, after he witnessed the rough state of John's 1958 325 that he played on the first Ed Sullivan show on February 9, 1964. This guitar was assembled in one week and was shipped to John at the Deauville Hotel in Miami, and he retired his 1958 325 and replaced it with the new 325 with an Ac'cent vibrato instead of the Bigsby on his first 325. This reissue was primarily finished in Jetglo, though a few examples were issued in Mapleglo.
