The second attempt by Rickenbacker to reissue models used by the Beatles was the "V" series; this first-year example is modeled after John Lennon's model 325 as modified by the addition of a Bigsby vibrato unit and the refinishing of his 1958 325 in Jetglo/Black; the V59 reissues are the only guitars issued by the RIC factory with a Bigsby vibrato.
